799,035. Variable-speed gear. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 17, 1956 [Sept. 29, 1955], No. 37299/57. Divided out of 799,033. Drawings to Specification. Class 80 (2). The subject-matter is the same as that of Specification 799,033, but the claims are directed to the provision of first and second sun-ring-planet trains 46, 44 (see Fig. 1 of Specification 799,033), having common planetcarriers 42, 40 fast on an output shaft 56, a second train reaction sun 60 held from reverse rotation by a releasable brake 72 acting through a one-way detent 68, and a first train reaction ring 58 prevented from reverse rotation relative to the sun 60 by a one-way clutch 64 between the two reaction members 58, 60. Specifications 716,134 and 799,034 also are referred to.
