798,483. Yarn &c. traversing reels. KALLE & CO., AKT.-GES. July 11, 1955 [July 10, 1954], No. 20020/55. Class 120(2) [Also in Group XVI] A yarn &c. traversing reel comprises a drum 2, which may be perforated, driven by a shaft 9 through gear wheels 7, 8, 6, the wheels 6 being attached to rigid portions cemented to flexible rolls 1 of rubber, plastic, &c. helically arranged, which bear upon the drum 2, the yarn &c. 11 passing about the outer portions of the rolls 1. The rolls 1, furnished with shoulders 5 are carried in bearings 3, 4 in disc members 13, 14, the members 13 being adjustable about the shaft 9 to enable different helical angles of the rolls 1 to be arranged; the wheel 8 being made broader than the wheel 7 to allow of the necessary movement of the wheel 6 longitudinally of the reel. Treating fluids may enter the drum 2 through a bore in the shaft 9, and a clutch may be arranged between the shaft 9 to the gear wheel 8.
