Class 20(2) [Also in Group XXIX] A spraying device comprises a hopper connected to a discharge chamber fitted with a nozzle and containing a tube which is connected to a pressure medium and slidable in the chamber. Plaster or mortar fed into a hopper 1, Fig. 1, falls into a chamber 5 and is discharged through the nozzle 8 by compressed air fromthe tube 22. Air entering the gun through the nozzle 14 and stopcock 12 passes via a bore 16 in the handle and a flexible tube (not shown) to a nozzle 21 in the tubular rod 22. Fig. 4 (not shown) illustrates an alternative, bent, nozzle. Trigger 42 acts on rod 38, tube 21, 22 and extension 35 thereof to extend spring 47 and withdraw head 23 from the nozzle to permit discharge. Rod 38 is adjustable in a bore of extension 35 by knob 39. The head 23, Fig. 2, which, is removable from the tube 22 has a widening bore 25 for use with a coarse mixture. Some compressed air enters the chamber 5 by a helicoidal grove 31 in the screw thread, annular chamber 30 and port 29 in the rod 22 to agitate the mixture. Coverings 34, 45, 46 protect tube 22 and rod 38.
