In-vacuo casting-apparatus comprises a vacuum-chamber 1 closed by a cover 2 provided with an opening closed by a diaphragm 4, and a ladle 7 seated thereon on packing 5 to form a gas-tight space 8, and a closable connecting-member, e.g. a valve 9 is provided between the space 8 and the vacuum-chamber so that said space may be evacuated.
