Abstract

A fuel composition, suitable for use in boilers and furnaces wherein the fuel is supplied to the burner at low pressure, consists of a foam wherein the liquid phase consists of an emulsified mixture of fuel oil (i.e. petroleum distillate of about 0.852 minimum density) and water and the gaseous phase consists of air. Apparatus for preparing the composition is described.
