A microphone housing comprises a container 12 partially enclosing a space around the microphone 18, a flexible seal 16 around the open end of the container and adapted to enclose the mouth and nose of the user a short, tubular member 30 disposed behind the microphone and within the container 12, and an air passage 14 which may pass through a handle attached to the container 12.
