Abstract
793,855. Electromagnetic clutches. COMPAGNIE DE CONSTRUCTION MECANIQUE PROCEDES SULZER. March 21, 1956 [April 13, 1955], No. 8899/56. Addition to 793,854. Class 35. Two clutches according to the parent Specification are arranged for selective energization to give either a drive in one direction at one speed or a drive in the other direction at a different speed through gearing. As shown, both driving rotors are connected to the hollow engine shaft 37. When stationary coil 52 is energized rotor 45 drives output shaft 41 directly, but when coil 53 is energized shaft 41 is driven in the opposite direction through hollow shaft 42 and gears 48, 49, 47.
