[Also in Group XXXIX] An automatic phonograph cabinet is divided by an internal partition 24 into a record changer compartment 25, Fig. 4, and a horn compartment 72, 73, Fig. 2, which discharges into the space beneath the bottom panel 20, 20b, 20c of the cabinet supported above the floor or like supporting surface by legs 21 and has a partition 63... 69 dividing a sealed loading chamber 62 behind the loud-speaker 59 from a frontal cavity 58 in front of the speaker communicating through a throat 71 with the horn. The horn, Fig. 2, comprises two approximately S-shaped passages 72, 73 and the bottom panel 20 of the cabinet is cut away at the rear to form the outlet aperture 23 of the horn, the sides of the aperture being provided with a skirt portion 74 so that the area of the opening between the skirt and the floor is approximately the same as the area of aperture 23. A second partition 41, Fig. 4, containing a door 39 separates the horn section from the amplifier section 42 in which is also mounted the coin box and power supply unit 46. A coloured lighting control system may be mounted on the door 14 of the section 42. A space 10 above the record changer compartment 25 contains a high-frequency speaker 35 with horn 34 and a record-selecting mechanism 17. Jn a modification, Fig. 8, the horn 93 extends from the speakers 88 right down the back of the cabinet 79 and opens at 81 into the space beneath the bottom panel 80 of the cabinet, the record changer being mounted in compartment 99.
