Abstract

791,012. Lamp-holders. DORMAN & SMITH, Ltd. July 4, 1956 [July 28, 1955], No. 21768/55. Class 38 (1). In a portable inspection lamp both the screws 32, which serve to mount a lamp-holder 29 in the casing 10 of the lamp, and screws 28, by means of which a plate 19 is secured to the outside of the casing 10, engage opposite ends of internally screw-threaded square mounting fittings 27 located in square recesses in the casing. Plate 19 forms an attachment for a hanger or may form part of one jaw of a crocodile clip (Fig. 1, not shown) and carries a bridge plate for clamping a cable either against the casing or in a recess in the plate. The fitting may be other than square-shaped.
