Class 103(5) A spring-loaded latch 40 is inserted in the upper link 30 of a tractor to maintain the hook 20 in its raised position and relieve the power lift mechanism of any load The latch 40 (Fig. 3) comprises a pin 50 engaging aligned apertures in the two telescopic parts of the link 30 and it may be engaged automatically when the end of the part 34 engages a pivoted lever 65 thereby moving the catch 63 from under the ring 61 secured to the pin 50 and allowing the pin to drop under the action of the spring 60.
