Class 63 A fastener for a head scarf is in the form of a curved comb with a group of short teeth 22, Fig. 1, at each end spaced from a group of longer teeth 23 at the centre, the outer teeth and the centre teeth being arranged at an angle, e.g. about 10 degrees, to one another in such manner that, in use, the centre teeth engage obliquely into the hair while the outer teeth are disposed approximately parallel to the scalp, all the teeth being slotted as at 22a and the sides thereof pressing yieldingly one against the other. The scarf is threaded between the teeth of the outer groups 22 and over the centre group 23 as shown in Fig. 3 and the centre teeth then slid into the hair.
