Abstract
785,221. Buckles. WALKER, Ltd., T. Nov. 18, 1955 [Nov. 29, 1954], No. 34463/54. Class 43 A belt buckle consists of a frame with a pair of side bars 1 joined together at one end by a ber 2, for the attachment of a fixed end of a belt, and carrying between their opposite ends a plate 4 spaced from the end bar 2 from which plate is stamped a fixed prong or projection 5 for engagement with a hole in the other end of the belt, the said prong or projection being set rearwardly of the plane of the plate and integrally joined to the latter at an edge of an aperture 7 inwards of the plates outer periphery. As shown in Fig.. 3 the plate 4 is set in a plane at an angle to the plane of the buckle frame. In a modification, Fig, 9, the prong 5 is stamped from a circular plate 12 integral with a pair of diametrically opposite side arms 1 connecting it to a frame bar (not shown), to which the fixed end of the belt is secured through the intermediary of a clamping plate and a cover plate 14 is provided to conceal the slot 13 formed when the prong 5 is punched out from the material of the plate. 12.
