784,962. Making pottery. STRASSER, H. Sept. 18, 1956 [Sept. 29, 1955], No. 27679/55. Addition to 727,273. Class 87(1) In a machine for trimming the ends of handles &c. for attachment to cups as described in the parent Specification, the trimming blade is subjected to an oscillating movement of high frequency and small amplitude across the line of cut as it traveses the handle. This is achieved by mounting the trimming blade 57 on a holder 52 which is pivoted at 71 to a main holder 72 and is oscillated by an electric motor 77 through an eccentric 76 and link 75, the motor being mounted for movement with a vertical spindle 64 which carries the holder 72.
