784,031. Clearing drafting rollers. STEINWANDT, O. Dec. 8, 1955 [Dec. 13, 1954], No. 35258/55. Class 120(2) A drafting roller of a gill box has a clearing cloth or clearing roller the gill bars during their return movement actuating means to impart driving movement to the cloth or roller. Preferably the means consists of a lever 2 extending into the path of the gill bars 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, the lever being returned to its position of rest by a spring, and the resulting to and fro motion causing a rotation of the driving cylinder 5 of the clearing cloth 6 by a ratchet mechanism 4. A stripper comb 12 strips fibres from the cloth 6.
