781,880. Endless tracks for vehicles. MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE FOR CANADA. Aug. 23,1954, No. 24510/54. Class 79(1) A vehicular endless track cleat 10 comprises an L-shaped angle iron with a depression 16 formed across one flange 12 and continued through a part of the other flange 14 so as to form a channel in which an endless connecting member 18 may be fixed. As shown the members 18 are riveted to the bottom of the depressions 16, the upper portions of which form grooves for guiding track idler wheels. The members 18 carry additional ground engaging members 22. The vertical flange may be curved, Fig. 6 (not shown). The members 18 may be formed as steel link chains or of rubber. Specifications 718,364 and 758,989 are referred to.
