Abstract
781,018. Conveyer loaders. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE AKT.-GES. April 22, 1955 [April 24, 1954], No. 11732/55. Class 78 (1). Material, e.g. mined coal, is fed to a conveyer, e.g. the belt 1 of a loading machine, by a rotating inclined disc 2 from which the material is stripped and transferred to the conveyer by an arm 9 which performs an oscillatory swing- ing motion over the surface of the disc. The arm 9 is pivoted at 10 to a crank disc 11 driven from the disc drive and is guided at its rear end on a fixed roller 12, so as to perform an orbital movement as indicated. The material is guided on to the conveyer by a deflector 17. The disc has ribs 18 extending radially over the outer portion of the disc and preferably riveted in place, a circular plate (not shown) being riveted in the blank central portion of the disc to lie flush with the upper surfaces of the ribs. The ribs may be spirally curved.
