Abstract

780,859. Rotary pumps. KIRKLAND, D.E. Dec. 20, 1955 [Sept. 22, 1954], No. 27438/54. Class 110 (2). In a rotary pump of the outwardly-sliding radial vane type at least a portion of the stator 14 is made of a resilient material such as rubber or synthetic plastic in order to prevent injury by jamming. The rotor is provided with scavenging pockets 21 as shown. Specifications 591,554, 605,740 and 717,273 are referred to.
