780,783. Axle mountings for rail vehicles. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURGNURNBERG AKT.-GES. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 19, 1954], No. 23988/55. Class 103(6) An axle of a rail vehicle is mounted at each end in a bearing 3 in a housing 2 which is provided with a cover 4 having a projecting pin 6 engaged by one end of an axle guide arm 7. An elastic bushing 9 reinforced with a metal sleeve 8 is interposed between the pin and the guide arm. The guide arm comprises a flat iron 7a and side portions 7b and is secured about the pin 6 by a bearing 10 in two parts, one part 10a connected fast to the guide arm and the other part 10b detachably connected by bolts 11 to the part 10a and to the flat iron 7a. The guide arm at its wider end is mounted on a pin 12 on bearings 13 secured to the vehicle frame 15 so that the arm can swing vertically. An elastic bushing 19 is arranged between the pin 12 and the bearing housing 18. The frame 15 is supported by coil springs 16 on a transverse beam 17 bolted to the axle bearing housing.
