780,506. Crates. BRETT BROS., Ltd. Oct. 10, 1955 [Dec. 15, 1954], No. 36279/54. Class 18. A crate for bottles comprises an open-topped rectangular box in which a pair of opposite side walls 2 are made with a recess 4 on their respective inside faces from the bottom 2c of the box up to a thick part 2a of the wall forming a ledge 3 lying parallel to the bottom 2c. The recess may be made by forming the wall with a top batten leaving an open space below to be covered by a metal plate outside the crate. A central partition may be provided, having retaining ledges.
