Abstract

778,118. Moving signs. GOODMAN, L. March 9, 1956 [Sept. 22, 1955], No. 27080/55. Class 3 (1). A display device comprises an opaque stand 10 carrying a circular disc of transparent material on its front face which is backed by a coloured disc 19 oscillated by a battery-operated motor. The motor comprises a D-shaped member 27 which is secured to the disc shaft 20 and carries a permanent magnet 28, a battery 29 which is resiliently mounted on a bracket 24 and a stator coil which is disposed between two insulating plates 26 and is connected to a spring 31 adapted to co-operate with a contact 32 on the shaft 20. The front of the device may be provided with one or more display shelves or brackets and the transparent disc may carry advertisements.
