Abstract

777,062. Heat resistant leather. STOKES & CO. (TANNERS), Ltd. June 30, 1955 [Sept. 29, 1954], No. 28056/54. Class 140. A heat-resistant material is composed of a leather base impregnated with asbestos. The impregnated base may subsequently be coated with an asbestos paste. The asbestos as a water paste may be mechanically worked into the leather by drumming. The material can be made into gloves, aprons, coats, armlets, leggings or headgear to provide protection against dry heat.
