Abstract

775,201. Coin freed liquid - dispensing machines. HICKMAN, Sir A. H. W. Jan. 27, 1956 [Oct. 27, 1954], No. 30993/54. Class 27. A device for stripping cups from a nested stack in an automatic liquid dispensing machine comprises a guide 4 for restraining the stack against lateral movement and a cup support member 6 having a pair of spaced lower supporting ribs 9 and a pair of spaced upper supporting ribs 8 with one or more cam surfaces 10 on their undersides so that, on relative movement of the stack and support member, the bottom cup will be positively separated from the stack. The support member 6 is in the form of a rectangular frame slidably supported in the guide frame 1 by slide members 7. The bottom cup normally rests on the ribs 9 and is separated as the support member 6 moves towards the right but the device may be arranged so that the stack normally rests on the ribs 8 and the bottom cup is separated during the return stroke of the support member.
