771,304. Ball - bearings. NOJIMA, T. June 8, 1955 [Sept. 30, 1954], No. 16424/55. Class 12 (1). A thrust bearing for a shaft 3 comprises a member 2, secured to the shaft, engaging a ring of balls 7 located in cylindrical recesses 6 in a stationary member 1. Each ball 7 is supported on a ring of balls 8 located at the bottom of the respective recess 6, and the axis of each recess is inclined to the shaft axis and coplanar therewith. The balls 7 are retained in position by rim members 9. Specification 771,303 is referred to.
