769,602. Roller weighting apparatus. VEB SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARLMARX-STADT. Nov. 30, 1954, No. 34726/54. Class 120 (2). A drawing head for textile spinning machines having a supporting arm for the saddle carrying the top roller, which saddle is articulated to the arm, the latter being rockable about a shaft and loaded by means of a weight lever with a sliding weight, is characterized in that the weight lever is mounted independently of the saddle supporting arm and is located above the arm, the weight lever being carried by a link mounted on the shaft carrying the supporting arm and during use pressing on the supporting arm between the shaft and the point of articulation of the saddle. In the arrangement shown the arm 2 is mounted on shaft 1 and carries, pivoted at 3, a saddle member 4. The saddle 4 carries the delivery roller 8 and a support for drawing rollers 6, 7. These latter rollers can be adjusted in their support and the support can be adjusted relative to the saddle member 4 by positioning of the finger 19 in one of the notches shown. Loading is effected by lever 11 carrying a sliding weight 12 and mounted at 10 on a link 9 carried by shaft 1, the loading being transmitted to the arm 2 through arm 13 and roller 14.
