768,901. Cabinet baths. BAUMANN, E. April 7, 1955 [April 9, 1954 ; May 8, 1954], No. 10279/55. Class 26. In a transportable domestic cabinet hot-air or vapour bath comprising an enclosed compartment which consists of an erectable and closable roller wall 2 and a top bell-type closing cover 6, the latter is made of flexible material and its topmost part is held above the roller wall by a holding device comprising at least one supporting member. The roller wall may consist of wooden boards flexibly interconnected by stainless steel hinges, and its lower edge may engage in a groove in a base 1. The opening in the cover may be closable by means of a sliding clap fastener so that the user may be completely enclosed, or have his face or entire head exposed. In the form shown, the holding device comprises a vertically and horizontally adjustable cranked rod 8 and the supporting member is in the form of an open framework 9, the rod 8 being releasably secured to a chair 7 with a footstool 10, the cover 6 fitting closely around the top edge of the roller wall 2. In modifications, (a) the rod 8 may be secured to the chair legs or be carried by the back of the chair or the top of the roller wall, or it may comprise telescopic members inside or outside the roller wall and supported on the base 1 ; (b) the holding device may comprise three arc-shaped rods, or a number of semi-circular shaped rods, with sliders hooked over the top edge of the roller wall.
