A device in which plant seedlings or cuttings are propagated comprises a strip of material such as galvanized sheet iron or synthetic plastic, bent to a right-angled U-shape, one limb b<SP>1</SP> of the device being longer than the other limb c<SP>1</SP> to provide a grip for lifting the device e.g. when it is desired to take one from a group such as is shown in Fig. 2.
