Abstract
768,210. Inflatable toys: ball bladders. HAUGHTON, W. H. April 5, 1955, No. 9952/55. Classes 132(2) and 132(3). An inflatable body, e.g. a balloon, bladder or the like having an inflatable portion and a thin walled flexible inflation neck connected thereto has, within its neck, a disc of greater diameter than the neck, the disc being positioned with its faces substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the neck. The body is sealed after inflation by twisting the neck two or three times at a point immediately adjacent the edge of the disc remote from the inflated portion, the mouth of the neck being folded back upon itself over the twist and over the disc, and the rib at the mouth of the neck extending at least more than half way over the disc. The disc may be secured within the neck by a spot of adhesive or by a thread ; alternatively the disc may be separate and inserted for use.
