Abstract

766,106. Bats. SISTRUNK, H. L. March 25, 1955, No. 8799/55. Class 132(2). In a table tennis bat, the handle end of the blade 11 and a shank 21 thereof are received in a slot formed in a one-piece plastic moulding having a neck piece 20 and, on each side of the blade, raised finger rests 15 flanking a central thinner thumb rest 16. As shown the shank projects beyond the moulding and two half handles 30 are secured thereto by a rivet 33 or are cemented thereto. In a modified form, the neck piece 20 is extended to form a hollow handle into which the shank is cemented.
