Class 20(1) A rigid framework comprising a floor, roof, and end walls with aligned doors, includes a set of flaps hinged to each of two opposing sides of the framework which can be opened out to provide further floor, roof, and end wall sections, and side walls. The opposing doors in the end walls enable a number of the expanded structures to be placed end to end with the doors in alignment, thereby providing a continuous communication between the structures. The floor of the framework consists of transverse bars 102, Fig. 1, connected to longitudinal bars 100, 101, and uprights 103 which support a roof 105 comprising girders 106 and tie bars 107. Cross-bars 109, 110, Fig. 2, connected to the uprights 103 strengthen the framework. End wall flaps 113 are pivoted on vertical axes to the uprights, and side floor flaps 118 are pivoted on horizontal axes to the longitudinal floor bars. Side wall flaps 121 are hinged to the flaps 118 and roof flaps 124 are hinged to the roof 105. Fig. 3 shows the flaps in folded position. Angle plates are secured to the lower edges of the flaps 113 and provide a seating for the floor flaps. Vertically extending plates on flaps 113 provide abutments for the side wall flaps 121 which are bolted thereto. Bracing straps 130 extending across flaps 113 are bolted to bars 132 secured to the uprights. When a number of such structures are aligned the small gaps therebetween are covered with felt joined to wooden fillets attached to the outer edges of flaps 113.
