Abstract
758,898. Magnetic compositions. CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO. Nov. 9, 1954 [Aug. 17, 1954], No. 32362/54. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XI] An induction heating coil (see Group XI) is partly surrounded by an electrically non-conductive ferromagnetic ceramic ferrite comprising a mixture of oxides of iron, zinc, manganese and magnesium with hydrated copper carbonate. The compounds are mixed by wet ball milling, dried, sieved, and moulded to shape under pressure. The moulded mixture is heated slowly to 1232‹ C. and allowed to cool slowly.
