Abstract
755,645. Stoles &C. KOCH, M. Feb. 16, 1954, No. 4491/54. Class 141. A stole-like garment comprising a back-covering portion 14, Fig. 5, shoulder-covering portions 15, and tail portions 15a which hang down at the front of the wearer, has means for detachably fastening the tail portions to the lower edge 21 of the backcovering portion to form sleeves, thus transforming the garment into a bolero, Fig. 3. The fastening means, e.g. press fasteners, are concealed within pockets 35 adjacent the lower back edge 21 and in pockets adjacent the end edges 23 of the tail portions. The tail portions may also be folded rearwardly and upwardly along the front of the wearer's body and detachably fastened to fasteners 47 on opposite sides of the neck portion 19, thereby converting the garment into a cape, Fig. 4. The garment may also be provided with a hook 50 and an eye 51 for fastening the two sides of the garment together at the front of the body when the garment is worn as a stole, a bolero, or as a cape.
