Abstract

The ends of the wrapper of a sanitary towel are folded over and secured by stitching and adhesive. Preferably the adhesive is applied after the stitching is performed, in order to secure the thread. If reinforcing threads or strips are provided within the wrapper they are preferably extended for its full length so as to be secured by the stitching and adhesive.
