754,933. Electric brushes and brush-holders. ZAHNRADFABRIK FRIEDRICHSHAFEN AKT.-GES. Jan. 8, 1954 [Jan. 10, 1953; Jan. 17, 1953], No. 645/54. Class 35. Two brush-holders, particularly for a slip ring in electromagnetic gear change clutches, are movably disposed one inside the other. In Fig. 2, annular brush 10 is on a sleeve 20 urged downward by spring 24 and forming a guide for the carrier 22 of brush 14 urged downward by spring 25. The annular brush may have holes for the passage of oil and both may be of phosphor bronze wire fabric. The holder may be supported as shown in Fig. 6 to take up different positions on a slip-ring.
