Abstract

754,254. Catapults. HARRINGTON, J. H. T. April 4 1955 [April 5, 1954], No. 9920/54. Class 132(3) The sling of a catapult comprises a central portion 10 formed integrally with lengths of rubber 11, 12 which form ribs 14 over parts of the portion 10 and have integral eyes 15 at their free ends. The portion 10 is reinforced by canvas 13 and may be concavo-convex in form, Fig. 4 (not shown). The grip is of die-cast metal and annular grooves 22 for receiving the eyes 15 have caps 24 for reducing any risk of the eyes slipping off when the catapult is in use. The grip is curved (Fig. 6) and is provided with a thumb stop 23.
