A collapsible trailer comprises a box framework chassis, cross-braced by members 6 at the ends, Fig. 1, a floor 13 and frameworks 7, 7: 8, 8 each hinged at 9 to a side of the chassis and supporting a wheel or wheels 11 in depending triangular frames 10 so that the wheels may be stowed flat beneath the chassis. Tie-rods 12, Fig. 2, which may be locked to support the frames 10, hold the wheels in running position. The floor 13 may be extended by hinged sections supported at each side by telescopic frames 17- 20, Fig. 6, the members 17 having ends 16 fitting into hollow chassis corner members 5, and the members 20 being hinged to the chassis. These telescopic frames allow varying widths of floor extensions to be used and are provided with locking pins between members and also with vertical sockets 21 which pass through holes in the floor extensions. Studs 24 also pass through and are bolted to the floors. Telescopic tubular supports are also provided at the ends to support floor extensions and are connected to members 3 and members 23 which connect pairs of frames 17-20. The sockets 21 or members 5 may support a box-like canvas covered and floor flapped body framework, Fig. 12. The canvas covering may be unrolled from rollers situated beneath the ends of the chassis. Further rollers may provide a second canvas weather cover. The trailer may be used to carry goods by fitting slatted sides and ends in the sockets 21 which sides and ends may be stretched across and hinged to vertically adjustable supports 37, 39, Fig. 12, to provide bunks when the trailer is used as a caravan. On each side of the chassis, or on detachable sides, there may be arranged vertical rollers, or the wheels may be arranged to project beyond the sides of the chassis when folded, which allow the trailer to be moved on its side. The trailer may be fitted with skids for use when the wheels are folded away and may also be fitted with feet so that it may be stowed on top of a motor vehicle.
