A pipe 6 is secured in a curved fitting 1 by the inclination of a wedge-shaped clamping ring 3, and fluid-sealing between the pipe and fitting is effected by a sealing ring 2 located inside the fitting. As shown, the fitting embodies an overhanging, segmental projection 5 serving as a guide for the pipe and into which the ring 3 is inserted, the ring becoming inclined upon rotation thereof and through contact with a boss 4 opposite the projection.
