Abstract

752,177. Folding tables. DAY, J. H. Sept. 25, 1954, No. 27741/54. Addition to 735,255 [Group XXV]. Class 52(3). [Also in Group XXV] In a table of the kind having a single foldable telescopic leg, the top being adapted to rest on the user's lap when seated or on the arms of the chair, the telescoping leg parts are clamped by a rotary eccentric sleeve 23 constructed according to the parent Specification. The inner telescopic member 22 is guided by a pin 27 moving in a longitudinal slot in the outer member 20 and the leg and top 10 are secured in the folded position by a necked stud 36 entering a socket 30 an inner member 32 of which is provided with an eccentric hole and is rotatable by a thumb-piece 35. An elongated foot-piece 25 may be provided and slidable ash-trays can be mounted under the table top. Specifications 615,114 and 689,617 also are referred to.
