[Also in Group XXXIII] In means for closing an entry and exit opening comprising a pair of doors C', C 2 hinged at C to opposite sides of the opening and arranged to swing outwards from their closed position to open, apparatus for securing the doors in their closed position and/or resisting inward forces thereon comprises at least one bar or strongback F mounted to slide in guides D, D' on the inner side of one of the doors and, when the doors are closed, to extend across the junction between the two doors into engagement with at least one socket G on the other door, the guides and socket being so disposed that gravitational forces tend to cause the etrongback to slide into its operative position across the junction. A stop O on the door C <SP>2</SP> limits the movement of the strongback under the action of gravity. Holes K are provided in the guides, holes M in the socket, and corresponding holes in the strongback so that pins N may be inserted to hold the strongback in its operative and inoperative positions.
