Abstract
747,480. Ventilation. GES. FUR LINDE'S EISMASCHINEN AKT.-GES. Jan. 16, 1953 [Jan. 29, 1952], No. 1392/53. Class 137. [Also in Group XIII] In a process for cooling mines, hot fresh mine air drawn in by a fan 9 passes over a heat accumulator 1 and heat-exchanger 3 and through a first adsorber 5, whereupon previously deposited adsorbate is discharged from the adsorber and taken up by the air, the enriched air is cooled by condenser 7 to discharge condensate and is passed in cooled condition through a second adsorber 6 which has been discharged in a preceding period, whereupon the air is freed from adsorbable constituents and passes through heat-exchanger 4, heat accumulator 2 and conduit 11 to be fed to the mine system as dried air to cool the mine by evaporation of mine water thereinto. The direction of flow through the apparatus is periodically reversed by means of a device 10.
