Class 40(1) A telemetering system for measuring the output signals of two A.C. bridge networks A, B comprises two valves V1, V2 connected with their anodes and cathodes across single phase A.C. supply lines H, J in opposite directions, and with each grid fed with the output signal from one of the bridge networks, so that the direct currents flowing in the supply lines H, J in the two half-cycles are respectively indicative of the output signals of the two bridges. Parallel meters M1, M2 are inserted in the line H, in series with opposite rectifiers D1, D2, and associated A.C. filters Ll, C1, and L2, C2, so that when the anode of V1 is positive meter M1 indicates the output of bridge A, and in the other half-cycle, when the anode of V2 is positive, meter M2 indicates the output of bridge B. The standing currents through meters M1, M2 with zero input to valves V1, V2 may be reduced to zero by any standard means
