Abstract
744,705. Nest-boxes. TILLBROOK, A. C. April 6, 1954 [Sept. 7, 1953], No. 24685/53. Class 5 (2). A nest-box comprises one or more compartments, the bottoms of which are formed of a sheet or sheets 7 of rubber or like material so supported as to yield to the weight of the hen but to reassume a substantially flat plane when the hen leaves, the sheets being in a slightly inclined plane so that the eggs will roll into a collecting trough 10 at the rear of the box. The rubber sheet can be extended to form a lining for the trough and a rail 11 may be provided under which the eggs roll so as to be inaccessible to the hen.
