Abstract

744,324. Latch fastenings. VICTROLEC, Ltd. May 24, 1954 [May 29, 1953], No. 14963/53. Class 44. [Also in Group XXX] The hinged drop-bottom of a pallet (see Group XXX) is normally locked by a pair of plungers 20 sliding in a member 17 on the drop-bottom 11 and biased by a spring 21 into engagement with apertures 2 formed in lugs 23 on the pallet. The plungers 20 are pushed out of the apertures 2 to release the bottom 11 by prongs 43 on a lever 40 loosely pivoted on a shaft 37 carried by a stand which receives the pallet. Surfaces 24 on the lugs 23 press in the bolts 20 when the bottom 11 is closed.
