Abstract

743,649. Luggage-carriers. MIDLAND GEAR CASE CO., Ltd. July 3, 1953 [May 28, 1952], No. 13491/52. Class 136 (1). A bicycle luggage carrier platform 1 is connected to the bicycle fork 12 by depending stays 2 and to the fork crown 11 by means of a rearwardly extending bracket 5 which has a lug 9 formed with a bolt hole 10. The bracket is passed under the crown 11 and the lug 9 is positioned at the rear of the crown so that a bolt normally employed for fastening the mudguard to the crown may pass through the bolt hole. The bracket 5 is formed integral with a lug 7 depending from the platform 1. The luggage is kept in position on the platform by a back rest 16 and a lamp bracket 21. The back rest is spring biased into a stowed position.
