Abstract

740,755. Magnetic compositions. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Sept. 17, 1953 [Sept. 17, 1952], No. 23332/52. Class 38 (2). A magnetically soft mixed ferrite composition comprises in mol. percentages 48-58 per cent Fe 2 O 3 , 15-25 per cent ZnO, at least 10 per cent MnO and from 1 to 15 per cent of CuO. A ferrite comprising 5 per cent CuO, 20 per cent MnO, 26 per cent ZnO, and 49 per cent Fe 2 O 3 , having magnetic properties as stated, is made by-sintering the mixed oxides at 1100‹ C., grinding and resintering at 1300‹ C.
