A cooker door or wall comprises flanged plates 10, 11, fitting one into the other, the space between the flanges 12, 13 being bridged by the beaded edge 17 of a strip 15 of extruded section of soft metal such as aluminium or light alloy, the. portion 22 of the edge providing an abutment for the free edge 23 of the flanges of the outer plate 10, whilst another portion 24 in combination with a body portion 16 and a web 19 of the strip provides a channel in which the flanges of the inner plate 11 are accommodated.
