Abstract
738,174. Two-part couplings combined with switches. JUNGHANS, H., and JUNGHANS AKT.-GES., GEB. Nov. 13, 1952 [Nov. 14, 1951; Oct. 27, 1952], No. 28653/52. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXVII] A time switch (see Group XXXVII) has plug pins (Fig. 1, not shown), so that it may be connected to a conventional supply socket, and has output sockets comprising contact pairs 8, 9 and 10, 11 for the connection of an appliance, the pair used depending on whether the appliance is to be connected or disconnected at the selected time. One plug pin is connected to a socket contact 9, 11 and the other to a fixed switch contact 43. The other socket contacts 8, 10 are respectively connected to fixed switch contacts 46, 45. A bridging contact 42 contacts 43, 45 in one position and 43, 46 in the other so that sockets 10, 11 and 8, 9 are alternatively energized depending on the position of contact 42. In a modification, Fig. 13, switch contacts 122, 123 and 120, 121 on socket contacts 122a, 123a and 120a, 121a are alternatively engaged by movable contact springs 136a, 137. These springs are connected to plug pins 151a in the end positions of the carrier 200.
