Abstract

736,306. Vehicle frames. AUTO UNION GES. April 28, 1952 [April 30, 1951], No. 10699/52. Addition to 734,267. Class 79(4). [Also in Group XXXII] In a vehicle suspension assembly the forwardly extending free ends 3 of the longitudinal frame members 1 as in the parent Specification are inclined upwardly with respect to the remainder of the frame. In the preferred embodiment the ends 3, which may converge or diverge or be parallel, are tubular, are welded to a front transverse frame member 2, and are inclined upwardly to an angle of 25 degrees. Each end 3 houses a torsion spring (not shown) having a wheel carrying arm 4. The wheel is also carried by a lower arm 6 connected to the vehicle body 7.
