Abstract
734,880. Filing papers; tabs. KARDEX AKT.-GES. FUR BUROARTIKEL. March 12, 1953 [March 13, 1952]. No. 6886/53. Classes 16 and 146(1). In a suspension filing system, guide cards, folders or the like are provided with a holding strip of resilient material at the upper edge, folded thereover immediately above a suspension bar, the strip being open from its underside for its whole length to grip an index card or strip inserted in an upward direction and extending below the lower edge of the strip. As shown, a folder 1, 2 with suspension rails 3, 4 has one side 2 extended at 5 above the rail 4.to carry a resilient holding strip 6 connected thereto only on the rear side. A card 8 is slid below the strip 6 and its lower ends may be positioned by cross slits 12, 13. Marking tabs 10, 11 may also be slid under the holding strip 6. If desired, the card 8 and/or the tabs 10, 11 may have a rearwardly bent fold at the top to engage the extension 5. The cover side 2 may be formed with a flap at its extension 5, which may be joined to the side 2 to form the guide for the rail 4 and the flap may have slips 12, 13 to anchor an indicating strip slid below the holding strip 6. The strip 6 need not extend the full width of the folder.
