733,121. Recuperators for furnaces. HAZEN, F. DE F. Aug. 4, 1953, No. 21511/53. Class 64 (1). A furnace recuperator comprises heatexchange tubes 5 assembled in rows on a sectional roof of a recuperator chamber 13, each bank of tubes having independent hot and cold air manifolds 9, 11 with connections 10, 12 and being removable as a unit from the recuperator chamber, which has a removable wall 2 to provide an opening through which the bank of tubes may be removed. The removable wall is hinged at the bottom 3. The roof 4 is made in sections each carrying a bank of Field tubes. The roof sections rest on shoulders 17, 18 on the walls 1, 2 and are moved by a hoist and monorail.
