Beadings 10 and 11, Figs. 1 and 2, at the bottom of a shop-window may receive between them the delivery drawers 12 of a coin-freed vending machine. The upper beading 10 supports the glass pane 25 while the lower beading 11 hides the base 13 of the machine which rests on a wall 30 inside the window. The coin-freed mechanisms 32 (Fig. 3) normally locking the drawers are concealed behind the sides of the window-frame. The coin insertion slits 17, Figs. 1 and 3, are disposed adjacent a coin tester 14 and within an aperture in the hollow box-section window frame 15, and are protected by a chamber 18 provided with a window 27 behind which is a lamp 26: Apertures 20, 21, Fig. 1, in the frame 15 respectively receive coin-return buttons 33 and coin-return trays. An aperture covered by a flap 24 communicates with a receptacle (not shown) for articles to be deposited with the shopkeeper. Where no vending machine is installed the openings for the coin insertion slits, coin return trays, &c., may be closed by suitable covers, and the space between the beadings 10 and 11 may receive either a further cover or an inscribed transparent panel which may be illuminated from behind.
